ABC’s of Farming
This parent participation program will provide weekly hands-on garden education to help young children (ages 4-10) nourish their curiosity, improve cooperative learning and listening skills, enhance their senses, become stewards of the environment, eat more fruits and vegetables, and increase physical activity. Our lessons and activities will introduce children to soil, seeds, plants, pollinators, chickens, and wildlife. Examples include caring for the chickens, creating a sunflower house, making seed balls, planting vegetables, sowing seeds, sifting compost, exploring insects, making lettuce terrariums, and harvesting vegetables.
E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up from the sessions.
Every Saturday from October 26-December 9 (No class November 30th). 9 am-10am. See flyer below for additional information.
A donation of $50 per student to the farm is greatly appreciated to keep programs like these running!
