COVID-19 Safety Concerns:
As a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching our community about growing food, we are very concerned about the health and safety of our volunteers and their families. While the farm is open to volunteers, we have modified our volunteer schedule and implemented new safety protocols. Click here for more details on volunteering.
Our Mission
To educate youth, families, and the community on
where food comes from and how it is grown.
where food comes from and how it is grown.
Why Garden to Table?
Urban residents have been disconnected from where their food comes from for generations. Garden to Table believes this is a central reason why public health has steadily deteriorated. Food is a fundamental part of everyday life and it should be grown where people live.
In October of 2013, Garden to Table installed 2,500 square feet of raised beds on a previously vacant lot to develop Taylor St Farm. It is a one-acre urban farm located in downtown San Jose.
Our mission is to educate and create a network of food systems that builds community and improves access to healthy food. We do this by growing unique and delicious produce on our farm, educating the public. We strive to transform the way cities are fed and connect people with great local food! Our goal is to change the food system on a community scale.
